Emergency events (bombing, armed or unarmed attack)

The members are the bursar, the chancellor, the director of the Operations Department, the head of the Technical and Operational Department Lednice, the registrar of the Faculty of Horticulture, the head of Student Dormitory and Canteen Administration, vice-rector for strategy and the security technician. The crisis team is headed by the rector.

- In the case of an armed attack, follow the rules RUN, HIDE, FIGHT. First, try to leave the dangerous area. If that’s not possible, find a safe shelter. If neither is possible, attempt to defend yourself, use improvised weapons, throw objects.
- When finding a suspicious unknown object/bag, do not manipulate the object. Try to find the owner; if unsuccessful, alert other people. Report the finding through the My Mendelu application or to a member of the crisis team.

- In the case of a serious, life-threatening injury, call emergency services (line 150/112/emergency app). In the Brno campus, report the arrival of emergency services at the gatehouse tel.: 545 135 000.
