We collaborate on international projects
Cambodia
We have contributed to sustainable mango production in the Kampong Speu area of Cambodia. Thanks to Czech know-how, local producers have started producing solar fruit dryers. Before this project, much of the mango crop was wasted because the locals were not able to process it. Farmers are now better able to cope with overproduction.
Socotra
We have calculated how many endemic Boswellia and Dracaena species are on the island of Socotra in the Indian Ocean, making available hard data that had been lacking. The data will now help assess the degree of threat to these unique trees for the IUCN Red List and help protect them.
Zambia
We have been helping for a long time in Zambia, where the main problems of local farmers are inappropriate agricultural practices and limited access to quality agricultural inputs (e.g., seed, quality livestock breeds). Integrated farming promotes the self-sufficiency of farms and communities by combining and linking crop and livestock production that complement each other.
