For 105 years we have been bringing education and innovation to future generations. Over this time, students and researchers have worked their way through courses and programmes to make a difference in the fields of agriculture, forestry, horticulture, economics and, more recently, regional development.
We see 105 years as a challenge and an opportunity. Our efforts are forward-looking – we feel a responsibility to the environment and understand the importance of our role. We are adapting our study programmes to the needs of a changing world, and the multidisciplinarity of our fields of study and the interconnectedness with practice make us a unique and responsive university. Our responsibility motivates us to think differently, seek innovative solutions and contribute to the sustainable development of our world.
Launch of the Alumni Club
We kicked off the celebrations with the launch of the new university-wide MENDELU Alumni Club. Through it, alumni will stay in touch with us, receiving regular information about what is happening at the university several times a year. It includes an Alumni Club membership card with benefits with partner organisations.

At the start of Mendel University’s 105th anniversary celebrations, we have gifted ourselves with a new profile video showcasing the breadth of where our fields of study are heading and highlighting our awareness of our responsibility to nature.
