Vice-Rector of MENDELU visited Ghana

23. 8. 2017
The Vice-Rector of Mendel University in Brno, Dr. Samuel Antwi Darkwah, visited Ghana the last month. He had several meetings with ambassadress Margita Fuchsová at the embassy and he also met our Agriculture Minister Marian Jurečka, who was on the business mission in Ghana and then continued to Ethiopia.

Except the official meetings in the embassy, Mr. Darkwah gave an interview to prestigious newspaper Daily Graphic. During the interview, he said that all the incoming students from Ghana – except one of them – failed in Master’s degree. This result was, according to Mr. Darkwah, caused by education system among other things. Because for students from Ghana was difficult to catch up their Czech classmates. Mr. Darkwah said that the education system in Ghana should be changed to be more practical and responsive to labor market demand.
