“It is a great success for our university and another confirmation that we have something to offer not only students but also teachers and scientists,” said Danuše Nerudová, Rector of Mendel University in Brno.
The QS World University Rankings are among the most prestigious in the world, next to the Shanghai rankings and THE rankings. Until now, Mendel University in Brno has been above the thousandth mark in similar surveys.
“The evaluation in each ranking offers us an important comparison with other universities and increases the prestige of MENDELU in the international context. That is also the reason why we signed up for this evaluation, “said Nerudová. According to her, similar rankings give the university, among other things, feedback on where there are still weaknesses and what needs to be improved in the coming years.
The QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) World University Rankings compares thousands of the best universities around the world. Six areas are evaluated in the ranking, with a total of 50% of evaluations being reputations among academics and graduate employers, 20% of Scopus citations, 20% of students per academic staff member, 5% of foreign academics, and 5% of foreign students.
