Mendel University in Brno will host the national final of the prestigious high school competition, the Stockholm Junior Water Prize, for the fourth time. The competition connects students with an interest in water and its sustainability. The authors of the five best projects will be invited to the university campus, where they will present and defend their work before an expert jury in pursuit of victory. The winner will receive a prize of 25,000 CZK and advance to the international round, representing the Czech Republic in Stockholm. Each year, students from more than 30 countries worldwide showcase their ideas and innovations there. Mendel University provides patronage and serves as the national coordinator of the competition.
Additionally, the Public Choice Award will be announced, in which votes from the public for individual projects will be counted. The author of the winning project will receive a cheque for 5,000 CZK. Voting will take place from April 1 to April 22 on the competition’s website.
