Kick off the winter semester with us at the MENDELU Party. This traditional informal gathering of staff and students will take place on Wednesday, September 23, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

We’ll meet on the lawn between Buildings X and A. In the case of bad weather, the event will take place in the X study room.

You’ll have the chance to meet representatives from student societies, your fellow students and even your lecturers. You can look forward to some barbecue specialities – there’ll be plenty for vegetarians and those who prefer meat-free options too. Staff from various departments of the Rector’s Office will be serving grilled halloumi cheese and ‘štulpáčky’ sausages from the Štulpovi butcher’s in Lelekovice. You can round these off with some delicious pickled vegetables, and there’ll also be a sweet treat in the form of apple strudel. You can quench your thirst with draught beer or lemonade. All refreshments will be available to purchase for a fixed rate of 35 Kč.

During the day, you can also visit the Azyl Jelínek stall, run by one of our graduates from the Faculty of AgriSciences. You can show your support for Azyl Jelínek on the spot by purchasing pet food and other treats for the animals.
