The programme draws on knowledge from forestry, ecology, soil science, geology, bioclimatology and other natural sciences. It focusses on: forest and landscape ecosystem functions, the impact of climate change on forests and landscape, environmental protection, sustainable landscape management, use of modern methods for environmental monitoring and analysis. The emphasis is on connecting theory with practice, especially through outdoor teaching at the University Enterprise Masaryk Forest Křtiny.
