The European Forestry master’s programme is a great choice if you want to understand the European approach to professional forest management. It focuses both on traditional forestry and on many practical topics related to ecology, nature conservation and sustainable development, with special emphasis on the latest progressive trends. European Forestry means learning within an international student community, going on excursions in the Czech Republic and abroad, attending discussion seminars, and so forth. The programme is taught in English.

With this degree you can work as

  • An expert in the forestry sector at all levels of national and municipal forest administration
  • An expert in nature and landscape conservation
  • A specialist at an international institution such as IUFRO, FAO, UNEP, IUCN, UNDP, WB, ICRAF, or CIFOR
  • A manager in the forestry industry
  • An expert in preparing legislation necessary for implementing measures under the planned EU common forestry policy and national forestry policy
  • An expert at a national or international forestry organization, or in public administration
