The Innovation Training Course will familiarize participants with the functioning of the innovation ecosystem, develop creative thinking, and promote interdisciplinary collaboration. Participants will also learn to better navigate European legislation and acquire the skills needed to better translate their ideas into concrete projects with a real impact,” explained Ondřej Mocek, project coordinator for Mendel University in Brno. The course is particularly suitable for students and professionals in the fields of biochemistry, agriculture, and related disciplines, but it also welcomes anyone who wants to learn more about the principles of the innovation ecosystem.
The second course is aimed more at students and employees in the fields of business, economics, finance, and related fields, but it is beneficial for anyone interested in innovation in healthcare. “The DeepTech Precision Medicine course provides a comprehensive introduction to the rapidly developing field of precision medicine—from the basics of human biology to the use of artificial intelligence and ethical aspects. It also introduces participants to opportunities in biotechnology and the biopharmaceutical industry,” Mocek explained.
The courses are conducted entirely in English and are free of charge. They are intended for students and academic and non-academic staff who want to learn about innovation or biotechnology and expand their interdisciplinary knowledge. The course will be conducted online and can be completed flexibly and at your own pace. Participants who successfully complete the course by December 31, 2025, will receive a certificate of completion. “The certificate will be issued by the EIT Higher Education Initiative (EIT HEI), which is an official body of the European Union funded by the prestigious Horizon Europe program. The certificate can help participants in the job market, for example, as they can include it in their CV,” said Julia Daňková.
Graduates then have the opportunity to participate in a mentoring program that offers individual support in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship.
