The Faculty of Regional Development and International Studies warmly invites academics, researchers and other professionals to the 14th International Scientific Conference on October 1–3, 2026. This event is a unique opportunity to share cutting‑edge research, engage in interdisciplinary dialogue, and connect with experts shaping the future of regional development and international studies. A dedicated PhD student panel will enable doctoral candidates to present and debate their research with fellow peers.
By bringing together diverse perspectives, the conference aims to foster meaningful dialogue and inspire new insights in the following topics:
- Innovation and regional competitiveness
- Social inclusiveness and diversity
- Policy trends and regional governance
- Security challenges in relation to regional development
- Demographic change and regional planning
- Geographic change and regional planning
- Sustainability and the environment
- International cooperation and regional integration
Participants are invited to submit their proposal in the form of a scientific article, with an abstract due by September 10, 2026, to jiri.nesiba@mendelu.cz.
The conference is organised under the auspices of the Brno Municipality, South Moravian Region, and in cooperation with the European University Alliance HEROES.
